The Challenge
Jordan Steel Group was operating on an on-premise ERP system implemented in 2008. The system was siloed, meaning the Finance department could not see real-time production yields, and Supply Chain was constantly ordering raw materials based on 48-hour old data.
Server maintenance costs were skyrocketing, and ransomware threats to on-premise servers were a pressing board-level concern.
Our Solution
We proposed and executed a full data center migration to Microsoft Azure. We developed a custom middleware in Laravel that securely ported over 12 years of historical financial and operational data into a unified PostgreSQL cloud database.
We then built modern, modular web dashboards for each department using Vue.js, featuring role-based access control (RBAC), live metric synchronization, and AI-driven forecasting algorithms for raw material procurement.
The Results
- Reduced IT Overhead by 40%: Eliminating legacy on-premise servers cut physical maintenance and licensing costs down significantly.
- Real-Time Transparency: Executives gained the ability to see daily P&L statements mapped directly to the previous shift's factory output.
- Enhanced Security Posture: Advanced cloud threat protection and daily automated snapshots removed the risk of catastrophic data loss.
